Most recent suggestion for title looks good. If generally agreed, post to the discussion group (audit trail) - you have already emailed to me, thanks. Looks like being a good SIG ...

Sig topic
right its the deadline today most people have agreed with the topic title:
"What opportunities do web 2.0 technologies present to organizations or businesses?"
it has to be posted on the discussion board and emailed to Jim by 4pm. If someone could do this by then, that would be good as i wont have access to a computer by this time.
Cheers

tutor invitation
Dennis, could you send Jim Gilligan an invitation to the blog again, he said that he deleted the last one as he classed it as junk mail. Put in the subject something along the lines of SIG web 2.0 blog.

Possible SIG topic choice
Hi everyone,
Adam, Mike and I have recently had a discussion regarding the SIG title that we have to submit to Jim by Tuesday. After considering all the posts and ideas suggested so far we believe the following should allow each individual to focus on something they have suggested:
"What opportunities do web 2.0 technologies present to organisations or businesses?"
Although the above may seem quite broad we believe Jim will like it as can be "spun" to fit each persons preference, e.g. marketing/advertising/social impacts within organisations/ways to make money/possible business propositions etc
What do you guys think?
James, Mike and Adam

Bit geeky, but then I am a CEMS student...

Hi Guys,
To utilise the functionality provided by blogs such as this I recently downloaded google desktop from http://desktop.google.com/index-pack.html and then installed the gdRSS viewer free from the "add" section. This provides updates of new posts to any blog, saving me having to check them.
This is one of many RSS tools I guess but I thought I would share it as I think it's very web 2.0 :),

I don't know why my posts couldn't be seen on blackboard. I use a mac so it may be some incompatability there. This blog is a great idea!

Possible Topics
Hi guys,Nice idea having the blog. Most of the topics have been covered in the previous posts, I like the idea of the business end of the subject, such as new ways of advertising/marketing or even how the users can make money by contributing (YouTube), also showcasing talent such as, up and coming film makers.

Next steps?
Hi Denis,
Nice work on getting the blog up and running. I think that Adam likes the idea too :). All we need to do next is make sure everyone else joins.
I noticed Jim sent an email mentioning we have until the 27/02 to publish our SIG topic choice. Hope to discuss this on Friday in the tutorial, if this isn't possible I would be happy to use the blog to agree a topic between us all.
